Contract ambiguity

Contract Ambiguity is the state of a clause or some language within a contract being unclear, uncertain, open to interpretation, or an instance of that state.

Ambiguity can also arise if it's unclear what a party generally intended.

Contract ambiguity can be caused by the overall agreement or something more specific such as a word, phrase or clause.

Ambiguity can lead to contract breaches and disputes if it isn't addressed.
