Business Continuity Planning, BCP

Business Continuity Planning is the process of documenting how an organisation will respond to events that impact its operations.

The aim of a BCP is to restore and resume critical and essential functions as quickly as possible, with minimal disruption.

BCPs are especially useful for responding to vendor risk including unfulfilled obligations, non-compliance and poor performance.

Gatekeeper allows you to request BCPs from your vendors and store them against their contact records:

  • Using 'Events', which are available on all Gatekeeper plans, you can request a BCP, assign an owner and set a due date.
  • An alert is sent via email to the relevant third-party and notifications can be sent for every day the BCP is not included.
  • Vendors can attach their BCPs via email and it is automatically captured in the 'Files' section of your contact records.
