See it in action.
HOW IT WORKS
How the Signature & Execution Check Agent works.
Executed contract attached.
The signed contract and its schedules are attached to the card in Gatekeeper’s workflow.
Version checked.
The agent checks the document is final, with no draft marking, visible tracked changes or comments, and uses the latest version where several are attached.
Signatures checked.
Every party’s signature block is checked for a signature, signatory name, title and date. Handwritten signatures, e-signatures and e-signature certificates all count.
Blanks and dates checked.
The agent flags empty fields, square brackets, “[insert]”, “TBC”, “XX” or highlighted placeholders, a missing effective date and inconsistent signature dates.
Completeness checked.
Every schedule, annex or exhibit referred to is checked as attached, with continuous page numbering. The counterparty, your entity and the contract value are cross-checked against the card.
Structured output.
Findings are summarised with a verdict of Fully executed or Not fully executed, a signature table for every party and a list of issues with their locations.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
What does the Signature & Execution Check Agent check?
The Signature & Execution Check Agent checks an executed contract is properly signed, dated and complete before it is filed as signed. It covers:
-
Final version, with no draft marks, tracked changes or comments
-
Signatures, signatory names, titles and dates for every party
-
Party names in signature blocks against the parties named in the contract
-
Effective date and signature date consistency
-
Blanks and placeholders in the body and schedules
- Attached schedules and page numbering
Which signatures does it accept?
The Signature & Execution Check Agent accepts handwritten signatures, e-signatures and e-signature certificates. For each party it records whether the block is signed and the signatory’s name, title and date, and flags any of these that are missing.
What does Not fully executed mean?
The Signature & Execution Check Agent returns Not fully executed when the document is not final, a signature, name or date is missing, party names do not match, the effective date is blank, placeholders remain, or a referenced schedule or page is missing.
Does it compare the contract with the card?
Yes. Where the card shows the counterparty, your contracting entity or the contract value, the Signature & Execution Check Agent confirms they match the executed document. Mismatches appear under Issues without changing the verdict, which reflects execution only.
When should it run?
The Signature & Execution Check Agent runs after signature, once the executed contract is attached and before it is filed as active. Running at this point catches missing signatures and schedules while the contract is still being closed out.
Does it replace the contract manager’s sign-off?
No. The Signature & Execution Check Agent handles the execution checks and lists any issues. Your contract manager decides whether the contract can be filed as active as part of your contract lifecycle management process.
What are the configuration options?
Tailor the Agent to your organisation’s filing standards rather than a generic checklist, including:

Is there an audit trail?
Every Agent action is recorded in Gatekeeper with a timestamp, including the criteria applied, decision made, supporting evidence and reasoning where applicable.
This creates a searchable record of how each outcome was reached, supporting compliance verification, internal review and audit requirements.
How is my data kept secure and compliant?
Your data stays within Gatekeeper while the Agent performs its work. Actions, decisions and supporting evidence are logged, creating a clear audit trail.
The Agent operates within the permissions, playbooks and authority controls you configure.
Data handling follows Gatekeeper’s enterprise security standards, including SOC 2 Type II compliance and GDPR requirements.
