Competitive Tension

Competitive Tension occurs when two or more suppliers are invited to bid for a tender and each are aware of the competition. 

In order to win the tender, all bidding parties are likely to offer more competitive prices, quality or innovations. 

By increasing competition between suppliers, businesses can drive greater value for lower costs.
