Why we started Gatekeeper.

Gatekeeper grew out of a consultancy business. Our founder and CEO, Patrick O’Connor, spent years advising mid-sized and large organisations that relied on hundreds, often thousands, of vendors.

Those vendors and contracts were essential for keeping the businesses running, and each one needed managing. The root cause was the same each time. Legal, Finance, and Procurement ran disconnected processes, and no one maintained a shared record of contracts and vendor data.

Critical risks slipped through the gaps between teams, budgets leaked, and people spent hundreds of hours getting ready for each audit.

In 2012, we founded Gatekeeper so teams could manage every vendor and contract from one system of truth.

Gatekeeper keeps vendors and contracts on one unified record, so due diligence shapes the contract, and the contract stays tied to obligations, performance and spend. Teams use it to run vendor onboarding and contracting in one workflow, on one unified record at scale without stitching together separate systems.

Now we've introduced Gatekeeper Agents to handle the compliance grind, so teams can make decisions and focus on strategy while staying in control of their data, permissions and audit trail.
